ASTROFEIN Manufacturing

Our manufacturing team works for them on almost 900 m² of production space in the Berlin-Adlershof Technology Park. The strengths of our production include the manufacture of aerospace components and parts for the optical industry, handling technology, automation and special machine construction. Depending on your needs, we manufacture prototypes, individual parts or series. We pay attention to sustainability in the selection and operation of our machinery.

ASTROFEIN Our machinery

In the CNC area, our modern machinery offers universal CAD/CAM solutions from simple 2½-axis machining to 5-axis simultaneous machining. You can find an overview here in our machine list. We manufacture with high precision and short lead times.


On our CNC milling centres and milling machines, we produce workpieces of the highest complexity with the precision you require, with shape and position tolerances of up to 0.01 mm and qualities of up to IT6. We support smooth processing with 100% optical tool measurement.

We have extensive experience in the machining of materials such as:

  • Aluminium alloys
  • Stainless steel
  • High temperature alloys (Inconel)
  • Corrosion-resistant special alloys (Hastelloy)
  • Non-ferrous metals such as magnesium, tungsten, copper and wrought copper alloys, brass, bronze alloys
  • Special materials such as titanium-based alloys, tungsten alloys, Invar, Kovar, anti-magnetic steels,
  • structural materials (CFRP, GFRP) and plastics (PEEK, Torlon PAI, PTFE).


On our CNC turning centres and lathes with precision quick-change turrets, with partly driven tools and bar loaders, we produce batch sizes between 1 and several 1000 pieces in the precision you require with shape and position tolerances of up to 0.01 mm and qualities up to IT6.

ASTROFEIN Edge and Measurement Services

ASTROFEIN has the great advantage of having assembly capacities (AIV-Assembly, Integration and Verification) in-house. We have our own clean rooms for carrying out integration activities with a low degree of contamination. We therefore offer our customers specialised assembly, alignment, balancing and bonding procedures according to ECSS standards.

Our qualified employees have individual ESA qualifications for bonding, soldering, crimping as well as soldering and crimping inspections.

The use of state-of-the-art tactile and optical 3-coordinate measuring machines enables ASTROFEIN to measure workpieces up to 700 x 1000 x 660 mm with an accuracy of up to 1.5 + 3*L/1000 µm. To ensure consistent tracking within quality assurance, we offer Dot Peen or DataMatrix code labelling.

The employees of the laboratory for environmental simulation are available for a prompt and demand-oriented qualification of the components integrated in the AIV area.

The company is certified according to DIN EN 9001 and furthermore according to DIN EN ISO 9100 and thus complies with the relevant standards of civil aerospace technology.
